Does this morning’s letter bring a smile to your face or create a spring to your step? Do you find yourself enthralled with the simple truth that the rich, yummy stuff has some really wonderful attributes for you, your skin and your heart? Well it does, so let’s find out what this grand, old delight has in store for you.

Eating dark chocolate, yes the dark variety (milk chocolate and white chocolate just don’t make the cut), provides us with some really fantastic benefits and according to Fitness Magazine, January 2009, there are an array of tempting reasons to partake in the chocolate option. They are as follows:

~Chocolate has the tendency to decrease your blood pressure. This includes both regular and sugar-free dark chocolate.
~Go ahead and enjoy a small amount of flavanol-rich cocoa power on a daily basis; this enhances your blood flow to the skin and gives it a supple, silky appearance.

If you are a chocoholic and are beginning to salivate at the mere thought of indulging in the decadence, hold your horses. Yes, dark chocolate has some super powers and yes, it has many positive features, however, it is important to keep in mind that it contains calories, so swimming in the stuff isn’t going to back up your weight loss plans. Can you have a smidgen each day, absolutely. Will your morsel make you weigh more, not at all.

As we continue down our pathway toward greater health and well-being we are striving each and every day to welcome all that tickles your fancy into your repertoire of food and beverage. Moderation playing a significant role in your victory as you pursue your aspirations for a lighter you. Changing your attitude takes time, altering your known behavior requires that you step up to the plate every day, sometimes multiple times/day. You have the power to make this happen. Set it free. Believe in your ability to create change in your life and allow yourself to first love the beautiful woman you are and second have faith in yourself to travel a new, improved healthy way of life.

Don’t get me wrong, I am not for one iota suggesting that you replace your healthy fruits and veggies and turn your plate over to the grand dark chocolate bar, no, no, no; sorry. I am, however, suggesting that you have a tasting each day if you so choose, savor the deliciousness and then go on with your day.
