Written by Chris Martin
If you are thinking about holidays in Tanzania at any time in the future, many travelers would like to offer, including a visit to the Ngorongoro crater, and for good reason! , Awe-inspiring crater is located near the southern Serengeti, it is 610 meters deep and 260 kilometers square, offers a fantastic wildlife viewing. For example, the crater is the densest known population of lions, numbering about 62 and the turn of the century grows. Some of the best months to visit in the summer, when huge numbers of migrants through the reserve, the Serengeti plains. The numbers are staggering, 1.7 million wildebeest, 250,000 zebra and gazelles almost half a million. All this makes the Ngorongoro Crater must-visit - a real Garden of Eden.
The main feature is a huge crater continuous caldera, which formed when, a giant volcano exploded and collapsed on itself before about two to three million years ago. It is important to tourists on safari crater area is the "big five" rhino, lion, leopard, buffalo and elephants, as well as almost every individual species of wildlife in East Africa. Deciding where to stay, visitors are also spoiled for choice. Of course, there are major tours and safari camps, to bespoke luxury safari tents with impeccable fashion service.
The protected area is allowed only indigenous tribes such as the Maasai live in Ngorongoro Conservation area. The area is also known to have strong relationships with our ancient ancestors. Hominoid left 1.8 million years old skeleton was found in Olduvai Gorge. The skeleton consists of separate units, one of the human evolutionary chain. There are some spectacular views, glimpsed through the trees of Moshi Town far far away
below. It is cooler here and so very quiet. I like to visit this place no tourists at all. Everyone is very friendly, and you really feel you are experiencing something special, something that not many tourists get to see.
There are still some large traditional houses here are made of dried banana leaves - no windows, only one door and chimney in the center of this traditional home. Usually there will be four rooms inside, and it is very dark and smoky.
The higher you go the trees begin to thin as you approach the tree line. It is hard to take it all in culture, greenness, African mountains are just so very special. Be careful to look where you are going and where you stand. Avoid large ants you can see the lines, scurrying back and forth - they travel in straight lines and accidentally stood on one of these lines - ants [large ants] will climb up your legs and begins to chew. Just keep an eye out for them.
Ngorongoro Crater and Conservation area, arguably one of the most beautiful parts of Tanzania. They are steeped in history and most importantly full of wild animals. Plus, it is not only driving safaris to attract visitors to this part of the world, hiking treks through the conservation area is becoming increasingly popular among people from all over the world. Whether it's driving or trekking, Tanzania holidays should always be included in the famous crater on all routes.
