Impossible is defined as something that is not possible; unable to be, exist, and happen; unable to be done, or performed.

This word – Impossible – is a label and should be treated as such. It is not an emotion or a physical chemical reaction. This label is very harmful to the human mind. A label is for a can of soup. It lets us know exactly what we find in every can with no exception. A mind cannot have such labeling, as it is an abstract instrument of our being. Our mind changes on a constant basis, always revolving and never stagnates. A label is extremely limiting in a very nonconstructive powerful way. A situation is labeled as impossible because fear plays a role in this labeling.

Experiencing fear is a perfect time for growth. We should never label it as impossible and then walk away. Nothing is impossible. Think through history for examples. Christopher Columbus didn’t think the world was flat and decided to explore what was beyond the horizon. He didn’t listen to all the naysayers who said it was impossible. The astronauts who walked on the moon, they didn’t listen to impossible – they just did it. The Chilean miners are another example as they never knew if anyone noticed they were trapped or even alive. They never gave up their hope and impossible was not in their vocabulary. They believed everything and anything was possible. Their collective faith beat fear back into its cage.

Looking for the learning opportunities in every situation we encounter will enable us to conquer our fears. This conquest makes all things possible.

The greatest growth we can treat ourselves to is when we step outside our comfort zone. Embracing and accepting your fears for exactly what they are and nothing bigger will help you to see all things in a new light.

Impossible doesn’t exist if we keep our mind open to all possibilities; if we believe we are possible to do anything we want to. Opening our minds to everything available to us in the universe helps us to evolve and grow and all things remain possible. This is a fabulous mindset. Change “Impossible” to “I’m Possible” and live by those two words in a strong concise mantra.

By focusing with passion and perseverance on what it is you wish to achieve or explore, you will do things that you would have otherwise labeled “impossible”. Never give up and remember labels only belong on canned goods.
