Own a pair of Cat Eye Sunglasses yet? If no, Why not?

Okay, let's re-track.. Who owns a pair of Sunnies? Who does not, in fact? Sunglasses are an essential fashion accessory in our arsenal of cool items to go with our wardrobe.

Add this one to your collection, if you haven’t already.

These iconic cat eye sunglasses are a throwback to the 1950’s fashion where old-school glamour is in and they looked fantastic with just about anything.

Rounded, thick plastic frames and angled upwards at the outer eyes, they look exactly like cat eyes.Designers are definitely having some fun playing around with this classic style and making it new again.

To name a few, designers like Tom Ford, Alexander Wang and Prada are showing their interpretation of these feline frames and what a delicious range there is to choose from!

From uber-dramatic to more conservative ones, you can choose from those that are wider at the edges or a softer, curvier one to suit your face.

No matter what your face shape is, they are quite flattering as the upswept sides of the sunglasses emphasize your cheekbones and add definition to your face.

You just need to find a version that suits you.

Round faces will find sharper frames help their face to look longer and thinner.Angular faces would find frames with curvier edges would suit them better.Use your eyebrow as a guide to find the right ones for you.

Just remember to keep trying different variations to find a pair that suits you best.

If you need inspiration, look no further than the fashion-forward celebrities who are embracing this trend already – Jessica Alba, Mary Kate Olsen, Victoria Beckham and Jennifer Lopez to name a few.

Try sleeked back hair or an upswept do for a retro look and red, red lips a-la Scarlet Johansson. She paired it with a taupe draped dress and a gray ruffled coat and nude platform sandals. Nicole Ritchie was spotted with a jeans jacket, gray T-shirt and black leggings for a casual look.

For top of the range, try popular ones like Alexander Wang’s Zipper Sunglasses, Tom Ford’s Nikita Sunglasses. For those who do not want to splurge, you can still find something under affordable and popular brands such as Forever 21 or MNG by Mango.

Personally, I love this style for its vintage look and it just gives you that effortless chic. Forget the eyeliner and the fake eyelashes when I am in rush. Just pop this on for quick glamour and you are there.

Other styles have come and go, but cat eye Sunnies have not been back for a while. Welcome back….Kitty!

Do you think Hello Kitty would be churning one out soon?
