With millions of visitors and millions of products on its website, Amazon has become the favorite shopping destination for many Americans. According to statistics, 55% of customers Start their online shopping searches from Amazon

Another survey also shows that 90% shoppers price check Amazon’s product offerings before they purchase a product or service from another e-retailer. This proves that it doesn’t matter where you are selling your products, if you want to stay ahead in the competition, you need to have your products on Amazon.

Amazon has 300 million active users and more than 50% of its sales are generated by third-party sellers. This means that small businesses can also sell their products without having their own store or warehouse space on this platform.

How much can you make on amazon 

There are a number of different methods for selling on Amazon, but the most common is Amazon’s Fulfillment-by-Amazon (FBA) program.

While selling on Amazon will involve some expenses and fees on the seller’s part, what makes Amazon FBA so appealing is that it simplifies that for sellers. Simply put, you choose a product, get it to Amazon’s warehouses, set up your Amazon listing, and Amazon takes care of the rest. Then you start seeing sales and profits.

We recently surveyed over 3,000 Amazon sellers and asked them about their overall sales volume and the channels they sell on.

Amazon was the channel that had the largest share of sellers making over $1,000,000 in annual revenue:

Most Amazon sellers make at least $1,000 per month in sales. Some super-sellers make upwards of $250,000 each month in sales – that amounts to $3 million in annual sales!

Based on our survey data, here's a breakdown of how much money most Amazon sellers are making:

Nearly half (44%) of Amazon sellers make from $1,000-$25,000/month, which could mean annual sales from $12,000-$300,000. 

One in five makes $25,000-$250,000/month, amounting to annual sales between $300,000 and $3,000,000.

Another 6% make more than $250,000 in monthly sales – this means they're doing more than $3 million each year!

Only 26% of sellers make under $1,000/month in sales.
