Whether you’re a morning person or a night owl, we all start our days a bit differently. Some people reach for their phones to scroll through Instagram, others head to the gym, and, let’s be honest, many of us can’t help but hit that snooze button once or twice (or five times). While there isn’t a “one size fits all” routine, here are five tried-and-true habits for a healthy morning.

1. You Snooze, You Lose
When that morning alarm first goes off, hitting the snooze button might feel like the most natural reaction in the world. But doing so can actually hinder your ability to fully wake up — and make you feel like you’ve gotten less sleep than you have. The reasoning behind this? Going back to sleep confuses your body and your brain, resulting in a groggy feeling researchers call “sleep inertia” that can last for up to four hours. Those extra 10 to 20 minutes– as harmless as they seem– just aren’t worth it!

2. Get out and Get Moving
Exercising consistently at any time of day is great for your health, but a 2010 study published in the Journal of Physiology found that exercising before breakfast helped dieters achieve better weight loss results.https://www.huffpost.com/entry/when-to-exercise_n_3982906 Studies have also shown that women and men who wake up early for regular exercise sleep better than those who routinely exercise in the evening. Another benefit to a healthy morning that begins with exercise? You won’t have to skip out on fun activities later in the day (happy hour, anyone?).

3. Fuel Your Body
They don’t call breakfast the most important meal of the day for nothing. Our pro tip for busy mornings? Fuel up quickly with a morning juice for breakfast. If you have a Juicero at home, your gym, or workplace, you know just quick and easy juicing for breakfast is – no prep, no mess, no cleanup. Start your day with Beta Glow or Sweet Roots to enjoy the gastrointestinal benefits of ginger. If you prefer a heartier meal in the AM, other nutritious options include overnight oats, chia pudding topped with fruit, or toast with avocado or almond butter. Juice is one of the best thing to boost your productivity so you can just buy best juicer
and drink juice daily it can be beneficial to you.

4. Stay Present
Sometimes we get so caught up in the day’s to-do list that we don’t take time time to focus on what we already have. Add gratitude exercises to your healthy morning routine and you might see your happiness improve overall. It’s simple: try writing down (or saying aloud) 3 things you’re grateful for, sending a thank you email, and/or texting a compliment to a friend or family member. Research shows that consciously focusing on blessings like this can have emotional and interpersonal benefits.

5. Eat the Frog
Mark Twain once said “Eat a live frog first thing in the morning, and nothing worse will happen to you the rest of the day.” No, we’re not suggesting you actually eat a frog, but a common interpretation implies that you should tackle your biggest task first. Willpower is found to deplete throughout the day, so find the one thing that you’d normally put off (a report, a workout, a writing assignment) and just get it done. With the proverbial “frog” out of the way, the rest of your day will seem a whole lot easier.
