These Biblical parenting tips will provide the keys your family needs to overcome the battles facing you every day. Don't Start A Home Without Them. We'll show you how to get started.

Before we get started, let me ask you a question. What's the first thing or image that comes to your mind when I say the word "parent"? If you said the word "discipline" or got an image of disciplining, you need to change your focus.

It may be time for an attitude adjustment, and Biblical parenting has the answer you are looking for.

There are many new and old fads out there ranging from strict parenting to permissive parenting. All you have to do is take a look at how children behave at the grocery store to realize most parents are struggling BIG TIME. The answer is to get back to the basics - Bible parenting.

The Bible has a lot to say about parenting. There are only a few verses, however that speak directly to parents. But who are you going to turn to as your authority for parenting wisdom? Is it going to be Dr. Spock, Oprah, Dr. Phil, or the Creator of the universe?

A great place to start is finding a handful of Bible verses on parenting.

One verse is found in Ephesians 6:4 and says, "Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord." This sounds rather simple. Do you have any idea how many ways there are for well-meaning parents to exasperate their children? There are plenty, and as parents, we need to be careful to avoid them.

The second part of this verse demands that you be familiar with the Lord's instructions. Let's take the 10 Commandments for example. Can you name them right now? The US Supreme Court has outlawed them from public schools because it might influence our children to tell the truth, not to steal things, and even be faithful in marriage. I am not joking.

The point here is that you must have an effective plan to follow and stick to in order to be a successful parent. Maybe we can call this plan Bible verses parenting.

There is so much in the Bible that is useful for parents. Find some areas that you want to see your family improve in and spend some time finding some verses that apply. Stick with them and you will see the changes you are looking for.

You probably won't find a lot of Bible verses about parents specifically, but every answer and all the parenting wisdom you need can be found in one place - the Bible.
