When you put together in a team four talented players such as latest signings Nasri and Aguero, along with Silva and Dzeko, something good is going to happen, which was the case at White Hart Lane, where Manchester City defeated Tottenham Hotspur by 5-1. Rooney with his hat-trick, Young with a double, and Welbeck, Nani and Park gave the 8 goals to the Red Devils. Chelsea’s 3-1 victory at home over Norwich City required a lot of hard work for the Canaries put up a lot of resistance. Bosingwa opened the score for the Blues in the first half, but early in the second one Holt got the equalizer for the visitors. With eight minutes to go a penalty kick from Lampard saved a game that seemed destined to the draw, and newly signed and debutant Mata added the third one in injury time.

At the 65th minute an unfortunate collision between Blues’ striker Drogba and Canaries’ keeper Ruddy sent the forward unconscious off the pitch. Luckily he is now out of danger, getting some rest at home while he recovers from a mild concussion.

Liverpool dispatched Bolton Wanderers 3-1 at Anfield, with goals from Henderson, Skrtel and Adam. The Trotters reaction came when it was too late, in injury time through Klasnic. The Reds have 7 points as well as Chelsea, but a better goal average gives them the third place.

In other results Aston Villa and Wolverhampton tied 0-0, as well as Swansea and Sunderland. Newcastle United defeated Fulham 2-1 at home, Wigan Athletic also made the best from their home field advantage and defeated Queen Parks Rangers 2-0. Blackburn Rovers was stunned 0-1 at home versus Everton. And Stroke City took down West Bromwich on the road by 0-1.

Three games have been more than enough for the teams from Manchester to show that they will be the squads to beat this season, which makes of the Premier League a thing of two.
