Do you review your actions at the end of the day? What answers do you get? Is there many things you wanted to get done and put off just because you thought you didn’t have time? This is common these days in the busy world we live in, we tend to say well I can always do that tomorrow. Sometimes these are small things, tedious things, but all to often they are the things that will truly make us happy.

How is it that some people seem to have all the time in the world while you are running around like a chicken with it’s head cut off and still don’t have enough time in the day. It is easy for us to think, well they just don’t have as much ambition as I do, or they don’t have as many responsibilities as I do. Is there another way you could look at this. Perhaps they have decided to take the time to do what creates happiness within them. Perhaps they have been able to some how slow down their minds and in essence slow down time. Perhaps it is the thoughts that run through their minds that create that extra space in their lives.

Are you the type that has a list at the beginning of the day, and runs through the day to complete it, not taking time to notice what is around you, or acknowledge what and who is around you? This may get things done, but is that really the point of life, is that really why you are here, just to get things done? Life is about slowing down and enjoying the journey, its about learning from those who are around you, and the situations you encounter in a day. Believe me you will get to the destination, and in the end it doesn’t matter how many tasks you ticked off your list.

What distractions do you have in your life? To much time in front of the television/computer? Hanging out with friends? Take a look at where you spend your time, and what you do with it? Is it possible that these are distractions to doing what you really want? Choose those distractions wisely and see how much space you create in a day.

Taking time to create time and space in your life is the most rewarding gift you can give yourself and the others around you. It allows you to open up to new ideas, new people, and new ways of doing things. Try starting your day with a few long slow deep breaths, and focusing on the wonderful person you are inside. Create a list of what you want, not a list of what the world around you expects from you. There will be plenty of time to look after life’s responsibilities, and you feel much happier about doing them.

Allow yourself to create your day, allow yourself to find that little something that you have been putting off doing. Is it going into one of the boutiques down town, or attending a local event, or just pampering yourself for a half an hour. What ever it is allow yourself the time in each day to enjoy it. This isn’t just for women, this is for men as well. Notice how you feel after trying this for a week, does there seem to be less stress in your life? Do you feel happier inside? Are you kinder and friendlier to those around you? You will never know if you never question yourself.

There are many creative ways to live life, please don’t live yours in the box you have allowed life to create around you. Life, laugh and love.
