When you go into forums and places like Yahoo Answers about anti-aging, the same questions always seem to arise, i.e. “Which anti wrinkle cream is the best” or “Which anti aging products give the best results”.

Whilst there is nothing wrong with these questions and and the fact that some anti wrinkle creams do work and are effective, this is only half of the anti aging equation.

What people tend not to know, or either ignore, is the fact that aging also comes from within. Your aging starts from the inside with your cells. Yes, there are also external factors which age your skin such as the sun and smoking, but your wrinkles also happen because of what is going on inside you.

Let me explain.

Our whole 'being' is made up of cell tissues and it's these cells which lie beneath your skin layers. Healthy cells give us lovely, clear and near perfect skin. Damaged cells give us grey, dull skin and wrinkles.

When we were children our skin cells could heal themselves to perfect from being damaged. However, the older we get the less our cells are able to repair themselves and they become permanently damaged and it is these damaged cells which age us.

How do our cells get damaged? Good question! Damaged skin cells are constantly attacked by chemical particles called free radicals. Free radicals are like parasites and they hop from one health cell to another to feed the goodness of that cell in order to live.

When they attack the cell, it is hard for the cell to repair itself because of our age (but not if you're young) and wrinkles are then formed. Free radicals are formed from within us and also from external factors such as the sun, smoking and other pollutants.

The goods news is that if we eat antioxidant rich foods this will counteract the free radicals and fight them off. Antioxidants can be found in foods such as acai berry, red grapes, red wine and plenty of other fruit and vegetables.

So if you eat an antioxidant rich diet to fight those free radicals, you are immensely helping to eradicate wrinkles from the inside. Couple this with using an effective anti wrinkle serum and moisturiser will help to plump the wrinkles from the outside.
