This article is about anti-aging products and lifestyle habits that help you to maintain your youthful vigor and looks throughout your lifetime.

Anti-aging? What do those words really mean? Are you adding more years to your life? As a matter of fact, it refers to products and way of life habits that encourage your body to age more slowly and help you perpetuate your youthful vigor and looks over a longer period of time – even well into your declining years.

If you are still in your early adult years, you probably haven’t thought much about getting older. Most likely, you still have that luminous, gleaming, firm skin that all children and young adults enjoy. You aren’t yet experiencing the pangs of wrinkles, lines and drooping skin. But, even at your young age, you should be heedful of how aging progresses and how anti-aging products can slow down that process enabling you to keep your youthful glow much longer.

So, how do you go about slowing the aging process? First and foremost in the battle against aging is well-founded nutrition. Let’s face it – you are unmistakably what you eat. Luminous healthy skin begins on the inside. Everyone should eat a well balanced diet with lots of brightly colored fruits and vegetables. Be heedful, however, that many of these foods are loaded with pesticides, growth hormones and antibiotics – things that will impede the system and actually cause you to look older than your age. Organic foods are greatly recommended. Cleansing also plays a notable role. If you eat Twinkies all the time you will have Twinkie cells! Build good, healthy cells with cleansing and complete nutrition.

Second on the list of anti-aging activities is exercise. It doesn’t really matter what type of exercise you get – walking, running, yoga, strength training – as long as you are getting some form of exercise at least 3-4 times per week. The old adage “move it or lose it” is undeniable.

Third, but equally important, is your intake of water. Relatively 70% of an adult’s body is water. Keep your cells well hydrated by drinking half your body weight in ounces of water (for instance, if you weigh 200 pounds, you should drink 100 ounces of water every day.) If you look at a dehydrated skin cell under a microscope, you promptly observe how dry and shriveled it appears. Well hydrated cells are plump and healthy looking. Multiply that one cell by the trillions of cells in your body and you can see how much healthier you look when you have been consuming the right amount of water every day. This doesn’t mean “liquid” – soda, coffee and other sugar and caffeine loaded drinks may contain water, but they actually do more harm than good. Enjoy water! You’ll feel great!

The skin is your largest organ and needs to be cared for. There are many types of lotions and creams out there that will plump up the skin and make it appear smoother. It is imperative to choose the one that is most effective for your skin type. But it is also necessary to use products that are free of detrimental chemicals and impurities. Take advantage of products that are designed to support the body’s natural repairing, rejuvenating and restorative processes – products that encourage production of fundamental structural proteins, collagen and elastin.

Find a line of products that takes a thorough approach by tackling aging at the cellular level. By the time those fine lines and wrinkles show themselves, the damage has been done. There are certain products that not only remove damaging impurities that contribute to aging, but also replenish your entire self for a more youthful you! Make it your business to find them!
