A quote from Holy Bible New Testament, says, "But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man." -(Book of Hebrews 2:9 King James Version). For what reasons does the New Testament Book of Hebrews refer to angels in connection with The Gospel of Jesus Christ? It is apparently because angels have always played a major role in God's Kingdom on earth and in Heaven, and in the things God has created. If Jesus Christ was made "a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death", this would also mean that mankind, whom Jesus became a part of as they became baptized into him (Galatians 3:27), were also made a little lower than the angels. This also obviously means angels existed previous to mankind, or else how could humans, afterward be made a little lower than a created predecessor?

We must also remember that Satan Formerly "Lucifer") and his kingdom of other fallen angels, departed from God by rebellion and Satan's unholy pride in proclaiming he would become "like the Most High God". He even planned to be exalted above God (Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28). Where was the base of his kingdom that attempted an unrighteous invasion of Heaven? In my opinion - it was from the Earth, due to the scriptures saying he was cast down to Earth and into the bottomless pit? So, why was Satan and his host of angelic followers, cast down to a "the bottomless pit", which is found deeply underground inside the earth - (Ezekiel 28:17 & Isaiah 14:12)!? Does the latter question, answer the first question I have just posed? Many Christians know there are wicked, evil angelic powers (fallen, filled with darkness - Ephesians 6:12). There are also God's Holy Angels, who serve God in pureness, righteousness and Holiness. Holy angels also out-number the wicked ones by at least 2 to 1. There are certain facts Christians the unsaved, potential converts to God's glorious salvation-provision, through His Son, Jesus Christ, should know.

Things we experience on earth as humans and later in Heaven with Our Everlasting God, involves angels. For example, Adam and Eve fell from God's grace and covenant, due to deceptive temptation from Satan, who is described as also tempting Christians to behave disingenuously, as they often do (Revelation 2:9 - synagogue of Satan). It states in Revelation 12:9 - "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him." There are things we do not understand fully, such as, this retrospective scripture quote from Jesus, in which he was looking back in time and said in Luke 10:18 - "And he [Jesus] said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.". Is it a reference to a continuation of the fall of this evil angelic kingdom; a second fall, as some ministers believe or is it referring to Satan's first fall? 1 Corinthians 13:12 states: "For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known."

Some people say "I do not study those type things that are not regarding salvation directly", or "I only study things about Jesus Christ and His ministry to us". I absolutely agree "Jesus Christ and him crucified for our redemption sin" (2 Corinthians 2:2)", is the greatest and most important message that exists. What about the many people who will not accept the Holy Bible or salvation because they do not understand why so much evil exists in the world why it continually worsens? Gaining some knowledge via Bible learning and teaching among Christians in this area, may equip them to then teach those who find this issue to be a stumbling block to their belief in God and in Him as our Creator. This gives them understanding on the subject, as they are open to hearing/reading it to varied degrees. Some Christians are fine in their lives, not knowing more about this subject. This doesn't mean we leave those who have stumbling blocks to belief in God's Word - The Holy Bible, in the dark on the subject, if they do desire to know more!

God forbid that we should neglect sincere learners.

Author's Bio:

I am a graduate of Liberty University (1996) for completion of theological studies (33 college credits) and I completed "Bible Survey" with Assemblies of God - Berean College. I consider myself a "Bapticostal" (a Baptist also having Pentecostal beliefs). Bible studies are one of my most-covered book-subjects. I am however, careful to only address those subjects I believe God has given me correct revelation on. I was a Christian Youth Minister, beginning in 1983 for approximately 18 years. During, between and after youth ministries I served in other church capacities as well, including interim pastoring and retirement home ministry. I am a redeemed man, who has received salvation by acceptance of Jesus Christ (John 3:16) and what he did for me in shedding his blood and dying for me on the cross, and in his resurrection from the dead, giving me the promise of eternal life, purely by grace; not due to anything I have done, other than to accept it freely. God does call us to "good works" as Christians - Ephesians 2:10.
