If you are tired of falling short of the mark for that weight loss or fitness goal, or if every year you say you are going to start saving for your dream vacation, but never take the time to fill out the direct deposit form to have that money go in the bank, you are not alone. Many people fall short of the mark just before they are about to achieve the breakthrough to their success. But for most, we do not even make it for the first thirty days without giving up.

Most people know if we can do something consistently for twenty-one to thirty days it will become a habit and part of our lifestyle. It may take longer than that to break a habit such as drinking soda pop or smoking, but new habit development is typically about a thirty day task.

How can you be sure that you do not lose hope or quit? How can you stay motivated to achieve the objectives set before you? I believe that a key to success in most any goal is to have a coach or trainer assist you. Someone who knows something about what you are trying to achieve is best, but a general personal coach to monitor your overall goals is also highly recommended.

People with personal trainers who are investing money that could be used on other expenses are more likely to do what it takes and push themselves harder and faster. When you spend your money on something you are showing your commitment to it. The more money you spend, the more commitment you demonstrate. Look at how much money it costs to have a hobby like boating or fishing. These people spend thousands of dollars because they are committed to their hobby.

You should obtain the assistance of a trained professional to learn how to do things the right way the first time. You learn how to swing that golf club or how to hold the tennis racquet. You learn how make the perfect soufflé with your instructors guidance. Of course you could learn all the things by trail and error, but the chances of you developing a bad habit or in the case of something physical, injury is much higher without the proper trainer or coach. The same can be said for investing in a business, the likelihood of success when you have someone coaching you is greater then if you try to do everything on your own.

Famous people that we know and admire use trainers all the time. Actors have acting coaches, singers have singing coaches, and athletes have team coaches. We never seem to question the fact that they need them, even as professionals to stay on top of their field, but we think that the same thing that has worked for them for decades to make them millionaires can not be helpful to us in achieving our goals and dreams.

You may think the money is not worth it. But know in your heart that you are worth it. Even if it takes saving up over time, I believe it is worth it to make the investment in doing things properly with someone who can guide you through your goal to success. If your child or someone else you loved needed a tutor or coach, you would do anything in your power to help them right? Well you are just as important! Try it and see what kind of results you get versus your old way of doing things on your own. Have success, achieve your goals, live your dreams, invest in yourself.
