If you are looking for a way to rid your mind and body of the stress that ails so many people today, consider using guided meditation to help release the trouble from your body and mind. Using a form of energy healing, you will be able to imagine the stress being pulled away from your body, and you will feel refreshed and relieved.
This article will detail a meditation that will help you to get your mind and body aligned and provides you with an opportunity to relax and return to your daily responsibilities with renewed vigor and clarity. For best results, you should also identify that thing which causes you the most stress and figure out how to eliminate it from your life in a peaceful and harmonious fashion. But that might not always be possible, and so this guided meditation will always be available for you to pursue.
It helps to memorize the steps before attempting your first guided meditation, as breaking free from the trance-like state will interrupt the experience significantly.
1. Put on a CD with classical or composed music. It should be calming and quiet. Playing music like this is proven to help put your mind in a state that better enables vivid imaginations.
2. Dim the lights, but don’t make the room dark. If you can’t dim your lights, you should leave them on.
3. Sit in a comfortable chair and try to relax your entire body. Start at the top of your head and visualize each body part on the way down. Imagine that each muscle in your body relaxes and turns to putty beneath your skin. Do not resist the feeling of looseness that will come over you.
4. While relaxing your individual muscles, focus on your breathing. With each inward breath, think “In.” and with each outward breath think “Out.” Breath slowly and deeply, using your belly to draw in breaths.
5. Once you are fully relaxed and have your mind and body synced, take a moment to consider the thing that is stressing you the most. Imagine that you are able to shrink it down to a tiny size and blow it away with one of your outward breaths.
6. When you visualize the thing that causes you stress, pay attention to where in your body you tense up. Pay special attention to those areas and repeat step 3 from above.
Once you have completed this exercise, it is important to spend some time actively considering what is causing you stress and to calmly think of solutions to successfully eliminate that stress from your life. You may need to make a drastic change or simply understand that what is causing stress is not a big deal. Once you have completed this process, you will feel calm and relaxed and be better able to think about solutions to your problems. You should also research healing quotes to serve as inspiration for your meditations.
