Aaahhhhhhhhh, cool cool peppermint, soothing yet invigorating, cold yet hot. Don't ever leave home without it! ( travel with your oils because that is when you need them most).

You're all familiar with that crazy commercial - "Head On, apply it to the forehead, Head On...etc."
Well, no need to run to the store;

I present to you your very own 'head-on' and 'neck-on' and 'painful-joints-on' product.
Beautiful peppermint essential oil.

Here is where peppermint really comes in handy:

  1. Headaches Yes, apply it to the forehead!, and the temples, behind the ears, base of the neck. Use only a small dab. Careful, close to the eyes it may make you tear. Wait a few minutes, lay down and rest for a bit and your headache will fade.
  2. Bad Breath - For 'squeaky clean breath' you only need to reach for the peppermint and put a drop on your tongue. Don't forget to rub some on the gums too. Will kill bad breath bacteria.
  3. Canker Sores - A large number of the population silently suffer from these pesky sores in the mouth. Peppermint will help them heal faster and may improve the condition. A huge tip for you, start using Thieves Dentarome Ultra Toothpaste without SLS in it. Sodium Laurel Sulfate may be the cause of your problems. Be sure to research!
  4. Fevers - Especially helpful to break a fever in children. All that needs to be done is apply a drop of peppermint essential oil to the bottom of the feet. Follow with a pure vegetable oil and massage. Or put a drop in a basin of warm water to soak a washcloth in. Dab over the face and limbs.
  5. Stay Cool At The Picnic - Make a spray ahead of time with 10 drops of peppermint to 2 ounces of distilled water. Spray
    as you please, especially behind the knees and on the inside of the arms. Serves doubly as an insect repellent! Be sure to pass it around the table.
  6. Ants - They absolutely hate the stuff! If you love to study ant behavior put a drop of peppermint in their path and watch them scatter and loose their buddies. Find their origin , and send them back outside.
  7. Lower Back Pain - For an aching lower back I always revert back to my simple peppermint plus a compress trick. You will be amazed at how a quick warm compress intensifies the actions of essential oils.
  8. Make Your Own Hard Candy - I only thought of this after I received several questions on the website. Can I use this peppermint oil in my recipes. Absolutely! I'd rather have this in my candy than an artificially flavored food additive. You will have to experiment a bit with the amount of drops to add.
  9. Get Skinny - Peppermint has been studied and found to help curb your appetite. Use it whenever you have cravings for sweets or unhealthy snacks. A drop on the tongue or inhaling from the palm of your hands will do.
  10. And last but not least:

  11. Breaking Wind, Use Peppermint! - Anything to do with the digestive system will benefit from this gracious oil. Rub on the stomach, belly or lower back area for relief of many gassy issues.

When I speak of applying essential oils undiluted you must understand that only very pure, therapeutic grade oils are used. Please learn all you can about therapeutic use of oils at:
