Time For an Emotional Alignment?

Whenever you get new tires on your car, they always ask if you want them aligned. Having the wheels, tires and the vehicle aligned properly makes the car run more efficient. As a result of an alignment, you get the best use, most mileage and a smoother ride from your vehicle. This same theory can be applied to your emotions. When you are aligned with emotions that are open, loving, connecting and expanding, you get the best value and smoother ride through life’s journey.

Emotions are silent “body language” - giving us a read on the people, places and situations we encounter throughout the day. Each one of us is constantly reading the “energy” of the world around us. Life itself is energy in motion. We, as human beings, are energy in “real time.” The way we direct our energy and put it into motion is through our emotions. Emotions are “E-nergy in MOTION.”

Emotions are neither good nor bad. How we invest ourselves in life is directed by our emotions. Emotions range from fearful to loving. Many books have been written about emotional intelligence, the wisdom of emotions and expressing emotional maturity. The more consciously we live, the more aware we become, and the more responsible we are for aligning ourselves with loving emotions. When we realize and experience the benefits of living consciously, we feel more alive and in tune with ourselves. Therefore, it begins to become second nature.

Fearful emotions cause us to judge, blame, attack, worry, become anxious and feel separated from others and create more fear within ourselves. Some fearful emotions are:
Resentment Regret Competition
Fear Worry Anxiety
Sadness

Fear, anger and resentment are restricting emotions that cause us to tighten up physically, mentally and emotionally. They cause us create blinders and limit our vision. Remember a time when you were angry about something and how tense you became? Anger is a low frequency emotion because it is restrictive and tight. Breathing becomes shallow and may create an actual physical tightness in our chest. You may remember that when you held on to that anger for a long period of time, things went from bad to worse. By staying in anger, you aligned yourself with fear. You put the energy of your life in alignment with anger and you attracted more situations to make you angry. Take a moment to really consider the power of that concept- you’ll see its true.

Loving emotions cause us to be empathetic, kind, joyful, compassionate and feel connected to others, which cause more love in our experiences. Some loving emotions are:
Joy Love Happiness Compassion
Gentleness Gratitude Kindness

Love, compassion and joy are expanding emotions that allow us to feel open, relaxed and calm mentally, physically and emotionally. Remember a time when you felt deep joy and excitement about something that happened to you? Maybe a new job, a windfall of money, or perhaps you fell in love. The frequency of love is high. Love opens you up. Did you feel like you could do anything? Did you feel a lightness and connection to everyone around you? Did you feel open and receptive to life? Did you attract people and situations that made you feel more love?

We cannot always be aligned with love of course. I am not telling you to deny your emotions if they are fearful. Denial leads to building barriers and eventually creates more anger. I am suggesting that you become more conscious and more aware of your emotions and really feel and experience them. You choose which frequency of emotions to align yourself with. When fearful things happen, love to yourself and feel the fear, but release the fear in safe, healthy and constructive ways instead of putting yourself in unhealthy or destructive situations. When you do this, you’ll find a segue into love.

Getting an emotional alignment allows you to experience life in a healthy, positive manner- creating mental, emotional and physical balance. Think of it this way- after the alignment, your car ran much more smoothly, gave you a comfortable and pleasant ride and most importantly, it created peace of mind within you. Why not make the same emotional investment in yourself? When you are emotionally aligned with love - you get better mileage from life!
