Is gambling not supposed to be fun, and a great escape from the truly mundane aspects of life? On the television commercials, all of the people gambling in the casinos look like they are having a great time, right?

The stakes are high for you because gambling addiction is not just a problem regarding money. Sure you are most likely in debt because of your gambling problem. Many gamblers max out there credit cards,are in thousands of dollars in debt, and have extremely poor credit.

When you have a problem with gambling, however, it will truly effect every area of your life and the financial aspect is only one.

The stakes are high because gambling addiction can become all encompassing.

It will take up your free time, and take you away from much more productive activity. All of your hobbies will go on the back burner as your gambling activity will be your first priority.

Creativity goes down the tubes because you cannot be creative when all you can think about is how much money you lost gambling, or when your next trip to the casino is.

In addition, a gambling problem can cause you to be socially isolated from friends and family. A slot machine or a poker table becomes your new form of social interaction.

Every other relationship starts to become less and less important.

Lastly, when you do not stop gambling, your physical and emotional health can deteriorate at a rapid pace. Gambling takes the place of emotional and physical self-care and this can
really take its' toll over time.

So these are just a few reasons why the stakes are high if you do not make the decision to quit gambling and return to a much better way of life.

When you quit gambling life gets better. Make the decision to stop gambling, and things will change for the better in all areas of your life.
