Achieving success will require personal growth and development. Part of that growth development process includes the development of success habits. You acquire success habits by consistently responding and behaving in accordance with the attitudes and habits required for success. Persistence and determination are habits you will need to develop. If you don’t it’s far too easy to give up short of the prize and never get what you’ve worked so hard to achieve.

Your success will evolve as a result of the quality of your work. You must approach your work or the service you provide with the intent of performing that work to the best of your ability every time. This requires attention to detail and efficiency. Each day you must strive to do your work better than the day before so you can better satisfy your customer whether your customer is an employer, co-worker, or actual paying customer. The quality of your work has nothing to do with the merit of the person receiving that quality. So, if you think your boss doesn’t notice the quality of your work provide quality work anyway because your focus is on your success and your success habits.

Success comes from the habit of doing more than you’re paid for. Just doing what is expected will get you expected results. Develop the habit of doing what is expected and then doing a little more. This enables you to exceed your customer’s expectations, and doing so will move you closer to success because you’ll have better than expected results.

Your success attitudes come through loud and clear. If you want to succeed in anything you need to be able to maintain a pleasant attitude in spite of everything. Work on developing success attitudes by focusing on the attitudes you have, and the attitudes you want to develop. Successful people are pleasant to be around. They make other people feel good so other people feel good about them.

Identify the success habit you have the greatest opportunity to improve. Focus on the daily actions you will take to develop and improve those habits. Practice these actions until they become automatic for you. Notice how those around you respond differently to you when you change your own behaviors and attitudes. Notice how much easier it is for you to succeed when you have success habits and attitudes.
