Are you a loving person or hateful person? Do you hold a negative bias or prejudice toward any classes of society? If you are intolerant, you will destroy yourself in many ways.

Intolerance will destroy your joy. You are not happy when you spend time hating others who are different from you.

Intolerance will destroy your health. You weaken your immune system by carrying hatred, anger and other bad emotions inside. Take a deep breath and exhale those harmful thoughts and emotions to breathe and live a healthier life.

Intolerance will kill your soul. You kill your inner self and character when you carry impure thoughts.

Intolerance will destroy your opportunities. When you hate and mistreat or ignore someone who has not done anything to you, you are taking a great chance of alienating someone whose help you might need someday. The more time you spend hating or being mad at someone, the less time you have to do what you need to do; therefore, you are less productive. You can also blow your chance to keep your job or earn a promotion by mistreating someone. What if that fellow worker you call a geek becomes your boss?

Intolerance can ruin your atmosphere. If you tease or harass someone who is different, you can destroy the good mood currently held by that person and everyone else who is around. Furthermore, you can set a bad example and create a bad influence. Others nearby might become inspired by your intolerance and start practicing it.

Intolerance will destroy your conscience. You think you feel good when you are mean to others; however, this is only a false sense of pleasure. Although you could temporarily hurt someone with rudeness, you are the one who will really suffer for a while with a guilty conscience.

You will wear yourself out with hard feelings and hate. It takes a lot of energy to hold hate and grudges toward others.

Intolerance can destroy your relationships. You might lose a friend if he or she is turned off by your bad views or behavior toward those who are different.

Intolerance can slaughter your kids’ lives. Kids learn many thoughts and behaviors from their parents. If your kids grow up to be intolerant, their chances for a successful life will be damaged.

Intolerance can directly destroy your life and someone else’s if you resort to murder. I used to see signs that commemorated slain gays. Eliminate the venom inside you before it is too late.

Take to heart and heed everything you have learned to make life better for yourself and others. Work hard at developing an acceptance of other classes.
