No matter how much you try to ignore that fact it's still blindly ruthful.

You say I don't have my own business--I work for someone else. Then in this case your paycheck depends on whether the people you work for sell anything or not!

You say-- as my father did, that "God will provide". And to that I say

YES, that's true *If * you do your part.

No matter what you do for money in this society it requires you to "SELL."

This week I've been listening to a tape series on Selling by Mark Macormick. On the tapes he sums up what is necessary to make more money selling your products or services pretty well. He says all that is required to sell more,be more successful and make more money is to

1) Identify your best potential customers

2) To reach them and

3) To persuade them to buy.

This is all there is to it.

So, where are your best customers? How is the best way to reach them? And what kind of offer or information about what you sell would persuade your potential customers to buy or buy more often?

If you want to know if your advertising message will be strong enough to make more sales-- then all you need to do is ask yourself one simple question. The question is, "would this motivate me to buy what I am offering?"

Chances are, If you answer this question openly and honestly about your own product, service and /or advertising then this would almost be the only market research you'd ever need.

Everyone sells!

Even the person that answers the telephone where you work is constantly being judged from your customers as to the quality of service you provide. They could very well be the most important person in the organization because they are the first person your customers come in contact with.

The amount of money you make and the number of people you are able to help is a direct reflection of the level of sales skills you have.
