This article is for all of those people who are in a position where they can’t see the forest for the trees. By that I mean those who are so overwhelmed by their current situations that they cannot see any possible way out of their dilemmas.
I know exactly where you are at right now. I too was at a point where everything was going wrong for me, I had no money and nothing I tried seemed to change anything. But what I decided one day was that I had had enough of being in that situation (mind you I put myself there) and I was determined to get myself out of it.

The first thing I had to do was I had to admit to myself that I was in a predicament and I was over my head. Whilst to some this may seem like common sense, when you are in that situation sometimes you can spend all of your time trying to convince yourself that everything is fine. So much so sometimes you can start believing things are fine. Then reality hits and you then see the real situation which is far from good.

When I realised that it was time to make drastic changes I really set my heart and soul into changing my situation. I realised that I need to make changes and stop going about life the same way that I had always done otherwise nothing would have changed. I realised that my thinking, attitudes and actions were to blame for me being in that situation.
I was amazed at how differently I started to see my situation. It is amazing that our focus sometimes tends to be on the bad or negative things in our lives instead of the positive. That simplistic change was the catalyst to me making the first and most successful step to get myself back on track.

I know someone who as a result of personal decisions and listening to the wrong people (they call themselves “experts) has ended up in a less that perfect situation in his business and personal finances. Now it has to be said the advice that he was given was nowhere near correct but he trusted in their advice and subsequently ended up in a bit of bother. Over the lst few months I have been working with him to get him back on track. It is amazing that to many who could look from the outside of his situation, they would see some glaring issues that could be fixed and rectified, but the most amount of work that I have been working on with him is his head stuff.
You see he has become so engrossed in the enormity of his situation that he has allowed that to affect his thinking which in turn affects his actions.

Now it has to be said that just because one day you decide to change your attitudes and thinking towards your current situation does not mean that everything will be peachy the next day. It will take time and effort, but the effort will be worth it when you start getting positive results instead of negative ones.
Along with the attitudes and thinking comes the change of actions. Unless we act in a different way than before our outcomes may still be the same. Now I am not for a minute suggesting that you act like someone else or think that by wearing a suit will make you an instant success, what I am saying is that in the past if you reacted a certain way to something bad happening, then you need to react differently now so that your reactions (or actions) don’t send you spiralling down the same negative outcomes path.

I guess for me I got to a stage where I was sick and tired of being in a certain situation in my life. I just got fed up and I realised that I needed things to change and the only thing I could see that I had total control over was myself. Sure there were other exterior things that added to my predicament but I couldn’t control them. So why no take control over your situation and over yourself and make the first step to bouncing back from the brink.
You know what the worst case scenario will be? Nothing will change! You know what the best case scenario will be? Everything will change for the better!
Just don’t expect everything to change over night and keep pressing forward.
