Any Decision in better than No-Decision.
Leaders know this Law of decision making.
Sometimes they can take a wrong decision or the second best one, but still they do the best they can. They do not leave anything to the hand of circumstances or luck…
To take decisions it to take responsibility. To take responsibility is to create your life, meaning you are a leader of your life…

Taking decisions is choosing between possibilities.
Why some people find it so difficult to take decisions?

• At the same moment you choose something, you lose something.
It is a fact of life. When you are standing at a cross-road, no meter what road you choose, you will not arrive at the places that the other roads are going to.
For some people this is a paralyzing situation. They keep standing still until life circumstances are taking control on the decision for them…

•Sometimes the difficulty to take decision comes from the position of one who wants to eat the cake and to keep it a whole. This attitude is also paralyzing. Whatever you choose – you lose!

•And, there are the FEARS: Fear of the unknown, fear of failure, fear of criticism, fear of loses, fear of pain, fear of…

Coaching is about taking decisions: setting goals, prioritizing them, making a plan, choosing the steps, waiving things that Burden on you even if you want to keep them, and stepping out of your comfort zone. Small steps or big steps, they are all results of decisions. Such many decisions one should take.

People, who get paralyzed whenever they need to decide, are the ones who get carried with the wind with none or little control over their life, surrender to their 'luck' or sweeping by the decisions made by others...

Sometimes, when you need or must choose between two good choices or two bad choices, and you consider of the pro and cons of each, nothing conclusive, even if you are a type of a person that are used to take decisions, you do not know what to do… If that is the case you might as well through a dice and make the necessary steps, because what is important is to choose a road and go ahead and don't look back…

Remember, whatever you decide, for better or worse, you are the creator of your life… For any road you choose, you are taking yourself. What ever the road is, it will serve your initial purpose of self growth and self-development.

Here is a poem that I love, by Robert Frost, about choosing:

THE ROAD NOT TAKEN
BY ROBERT FROST

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
and sorry I could not travel both
and be one traveler. long I stood
and looked down one as far as I could
to were it bend in the undergrowth.

Then took the other, as just as fair,
and having perhaps the better claim,
because it was grassy and wanted wear;
though as for that passing there
had worn them really about the same.

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet, knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I –
I took the less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
