Lots of people who have traveled to 3rd world countries end up with intestinal parasites… this is common. And people end up with intestinal parasites here in the states. And with these parasites are gone… a person can get their life back on track.

Some Parasite Infestation Symptoms

When we have parasitic infections we can lose weight, have bouts of diarrhea, have anemia, constipation, rashes, hives, bloating, aches, pains, depression, and more.

Remember

Many parasitic symptoms are similar to other health challenges so make sure you have intestinal parasites before you do anything… have a parasite test done.

The Most Common Intestinal Parasites

The most common intestinal parasites are roundworms, tapeworms, pinworms, giardia, small round ameba-like parasites, and ameba parasites… but remember… there are many thousands of different parasites.

Test for Intestinal Parasites

1 - The gold standard for parasites is to have a “Fecal Floatation Test” done. This is something that your doctor can do where they take a stool sample. And they take the sample and add it to a special liquid and mix it well (sometimes that liquid is a saturated mixture of sugar and water) this liquid makes the parasite eggs float to the top and then a slide is made of the eggs floating on top. Next, the slide is looked at under a microscope. If there are no eggs, then the test should be done a couple more time because parasite eggs can come and go… but if your test is negative 2 or 3 times you are parasite free.

2 - There is also the “Polymerase Chain Reaction Test” which test for the DNA of parasites. This is more expensive but works amazingly well.

What to Do… if You Have Intestinal Parasites

If you have intestinal parasites then you have to get rid of them. Your doctor will prescribe a medication that will kill your particular parasite. And the medication will vary depending on the parasites present. And your doctor can tell which parasites you have from the types of eggs you have on the fecal flotation test. All the eggs can be identified from a chart.

Here are a Few Natural Herbs That I Recommend for Parasites

Side Effects

But before you take these anti-parasite herbs make sure you don’t have a compromised liver from alcohol use or liver disease… some of these herbs are powerful. Also, those who are pregnant, nursing, or small children should not use these herbs.

Remember - Repeat this Process to Get Rid of Parasites

Adult parasites give off eggs at different times during their lifecycle. And larval stages will move around the body… and sometimes there can be eggs in the fecal floatation test and sometimes not. So it’s good to take the medications that are recommended for the full period of time recommended… and the same goes for herbs.

How to Take Herbs

1 - Take these herbs for 7 days… then take a week off and repeat for 7 days and then take a week off… and repeat for another 7 days.

2 - Then do another Fecal Floatation Test and see if you have parasite eggs… if not you are done.

To be really sure have a Polymerase Chain Reaction Parasite Test run.

Herbs and Supplements

Mimosa Pudica - This is my favorite for intestinal parasites. This is a plant that grows in Brazil, Asia, Africa, Pacific Islands, Caribbean and other parts of the world that has many health benefits. The leaves are interesting because upon being touched they fold up… thus people call it the “Sensitive Plant”. And the extract of the plant kills larval and adult stages of intestinal worms.

Dose - 1 - 400 mg capsule 3 times a day. As a tincture 3 to 6 ml daily.

Vidanga - Vidanga also known as Embelia Ribes is a berry that is used in Ayurvedic Medicine to heal many ailments and helps with skin problems… but also kills intestinal parasites.

Dose - 2000 mg and up to 5000 mg daily of the powder in capsules.

Black Walnut Hull - Black Walnut hull is a powerful agent for the cardiovascular system, skin, anti-fungal, helps with cancer and more but it can be toxic in large doses.

Dose - 3 to 5 Drops of Tincture - 3 Times a Day — if you have any reactions discontinue use.

Magnesium Caprylate - This is a saturated fat that fights candida infections, it’s antibacterial, anti-fungal, antiviral, and helps with lots of GI challenges. Plus it also kills intestinal parasites.

Dose - 1 or 2 - 500 mg capsules daily

Sweet Wormwood - Take 1 oz of the dried leaves and add boiling water and steep for at least 10 minutes, then drink. Some recommend taking a tincture of sweet wormwood — 20 drops per day. Take 25 to 50 mg 4 times a day in capsule form… and sweet wormwood should not be taken within 2 hours of vitamin and mineral supplements.

Some other herbs that might be used are barberry, bearberry, and berberine.

Finding Herbs - These herbs can be found at health food stores, on amazon.com, and on eBay.com

If Your Symptoms Still Persist - See a Parasitologist

Parasitologists can work with you if you have some form of parasite that is hard to kill. A parasitologist can run specialized tests for each parasite and have special medications for each parasite.

There are not that many parasitologists in the US… so google to find a parasitologist near you… you might have to travel to NY to find one.

Most of the time herbal treatments work… but not always. Sometimes the only thing that works are specialized drugs… so go forward… all will be well.

Get Rid of the Toxins from the Parasite Dye Off

You may feel bad with all the dying parasites… and your immune system can react to all of this… so take activated charcoal - Take 4 - 400 mg capsules - 3 or 4 times weekly to get rid of the parasite toxins so you feel better.

Take Probiotics

Many of these herbs can kill good bacteria in your gut… so start taking probiotic capsules to build up your immune system.

You can heal your parasites - it just takes time.
