Spring is coming and with the dawn of a new season comes new beginnings. Spring is a refreshing time of year. Flowers bloom, the days get longer and the weather gets warmer. Just like with the new year, a new season is the perfect opportunity to make lifestyle changes. Here are five habits to adapt for an optimistic spring season.

Engage in the Arts

Engaging in the arts encompasses a plethora of activities. There is drama, dance, music and visual arts: four worlds ready to be explored. Whether it is visiting a local art gallery or attending a play, arts are a great way to channel creative vibes and encourage positive attitudes. Spend some time in artistic arenas to cultivate a love for creation. Art is an age old way to unplug from the world and explore thoughts and creative ideas. Admiring another artist’s work can spark personal inventive ideas. Engaging in the arts can also mean, taking part. Attend a local “sip and paint” event or a dance class at your gym.

Change Your Look

The dawn of spring is the perfect time to change looks. Bright colors, new silhouettes and an upgraded aesthetic go hand in hand with more sun and warmer weather. There are multiple ways to transform an entire look for spring.

One easy way to add variety is by changing hairstyles. Opt for highlights, a new hair color or a bold hair cut. Want to add some edge that’s not so permanent? Invest in luxury hair extensions for the spring. Whether they are clip-in hair extensions or full volume extensions, this addition of hair will automatically enhance your spring look.

Monochromatic makeup is the hottest trend. From plum to purple, and pink to rose, using all one color in different hues really makes a statement this spring. Another way to change looks is through fashion. Incorporate bolder colors through wardrobe choices as well. Try fun prints, edgy materials and the season’s hottest trends.

Read and Write

Reading and writing: two basic human functions that can open a world of adventure, mystery, drama and clarity. Grab a great book to kick off the spring. Reading is not only a way to continually develop imagination but also a wonderful way to stay informed on any subject. No matter the genre, fiction or nonfiction, reading can provide an outlet for any audience. Writing is just as vital as reading. Invest in a good journal and begin the habit of journaling daily. A daily journal is a simple way to log thoughts, generate ideas and express feelings. If journaling seems like a challenge, try a journal with writing prompts that suggest a topic for the day.

Start a Garden

Gardening is a great way to provide healthy and fresh options for the kitchen and activate the green thumb in everyone. It does not take much space to begin a garden. A small yard is just enough room to plant small vegetables, herbs or flowers. Do some research on which plants will thrive and succeed in the local environment. Once the research is done and decisions are made, head to the local gardening store and grab seeds, dirt, fertilizer and anything else that will aid in a successful garden. Gardening is a peaceful activity that provides room for growth and adds to the health and liveliness of the environment. Picking up this habit is great all around.
