The skin under your eyes is the thinnest and most fragile around your body. As such fine lines show up more easily there than in others areas. However, if there have been no proactive measures taken to stop or slow down the development of fine lines, these creases gradually deepen until they become very obvious and unflattering. This situation then begs the question: How to get rid of under eye wrinkles?

There are different ways to get rid of this:

1. Using Cosmetic Products
2. Using Home Remedies
3. Cosmetic Surgeries

1. Using Cosmetic Products

• Eye Creams: Eye creams are usually the first choice for everyone. They can give some benefit for cases where fine lines are involved. Even if you have deep creases you may still find these beauty products helpful. Use this as your eye area moisturizer to help prevent the formation of new lines.

• Using Chemical Peels: Chemical Peels can help reduce or eliminate deep wrinkles under the eyes. The application of a chemical solution that may contain salicylic acid, glycolic acid, phenol and lactic acid will help you to get rid of under eye wrinkles. Make sure to consult skin care specialist before using it.

2. Using Home Remedies:

• Using Cold Spoon: A frozen spoon can be used to remove puffiness not only under the eye but also around the eye area. After you have left a spoon in the freezer for 15 minutes place it around your eyes. Leave the spoon until it is warm again. Cold metal spoons help to tighten up the skin around the eyes.

• Using ice-cube: Take one ice cube and massage it gently around your eyes in a circular motion. You can use one ice-cube daily to get rid of wrinkles. The ice will tone your skin to reduce under eyes circles & puffiness. Be very gentle while using it.

• Using Cucumber Slice: Cut a fresh cucumber into thick slices. Chill them into the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Put the slice around your eyes for 10 minutes. Wash off with water. Repeat twice daily.

Massage with Rose Mary Oil: Rose Mary Oil massage can get you rid of under eye wrinkles. Dip your middle and pointer finger in a cup of oil and then gently rub under your eyes and then around the entire eye area. Rub in the upward motion. Repeat this for 3-5 times 30 seconds each.

3. Cosmetic Surgeries/Treatment:

• Laser Therapy: It can improve deep wrinkles and lessen their intensity. This is an ablative resurfacing treatment that involves an estimated one-week downtime. However, the effect can last a couple of years.

• Fillers: Getting rid of under eye wrinkles can also be done though fillers. These can be injected in areas of the face, even around the eyes, to plump up those places with less collagen volume due to aging. Generally, fillers work by stimulating or assisting in the collagen reproduction process. These treatments can last a year and a half long.
