Billionaire and president of the US, Donald Trump once said, “Sometimes your best investments are the ones you don't make" And I couldn't agree more.
If you feel that it’s too late to dive into a business in 2018, you have my word-“it is not late” These business ideas have been tried and proven to work yet some don’t even need any start-up money.
Coaching
Many people are moving away from getting into institutions and instead are hiring coaches to teach them from first-hand experience. Do you have expertise on a subject that is of interest to the masses?
There are business coaches, wellness coaches, mindset coaches, spiritual coaches etc...
To get started as a coach, all you need is a web address(website), social media page a few writings to explain your service, a computer, some time on your hands to market and a pair of pyjamas to make you comfortable as you work from the luxury of your home. Coaching can earn you $200 per 1hr session or $1000 for longer sessions of probably 2 days.
Phone recycling business
Every year, 1 million phones are recycled in the UK alone.
Some phones are somewhere laying in people' s houses because they are too busy to sell them or they haven't had reason enough to sell them.
How does this business work you ask?
Nowadays, no one wants to stick to a Mobile phone that freezes its screen, loads slowly or just annoys its owner.
This is where the mobile phone recycling business sprung from. companies like Rapid phone buyer are earning a fortune from this business.
So, what if you tapped into the 1 million and recycle just 10,000 of them, how much would you make?
Let's do the maths.
Let's say for each customer that calls and says, “I want to sell my j3 2016 or sell my Samsung j3 or any other Samsung phone on average gets you $100. $70 goes to paying shop rent, employees, taxes and any other business related expenses. You pocket $30. If you deal in 10,000 phones, you would earn a whopping $300, 000 Per year. You must be blown, right?
Online Writing
This is the business I told you I have had a shot at.
There are millions of websites on the web and several others are created each day, all of them need content and that's where the business is. I have heard people say writing earns you peanuts but it’s all about being creative and enterprising.
For example, there are several businesses that want to have their websites listed on the first page of search engines and the only way to do that is through creating content that is backlinked. You can decide to specialize in this. They don't pay crappy fees to get a high rank in Google.
You could also choose to write e-books. Pitch businesses and tell them the benefits of producing an e-book for their audience and trust me, you will earn some good money when awarded the job. e-books can be written for $800-$2000 or more depending on the length and topic.
